Roar, We're Four!

My wonderful friend, Stephanie, made their dinosaur shirts that they LOVE to wear!

Jack and Luke were so very excited to turn four!! Their birthday is April 7, and every morning after that day they have asked if they are still four. They are loving it! We celebrated as a family on their actual birthday, then they had their party with friends at the end of the month.

They love to run up to people and show them their four fingers!

Each of them got a turn blowing out their special candles that Gram sent them.

Enjoying their cake!

Waking up with balloons in their room!

We had their "Roar, We're Four" party at the play place at Trinity Church. It is a great indoor play area where the kids could play and the adults could drink coffee and visit with each other. It was a wonderful day!

Celebrating with all our sweet friends.

Singing Happy Birthday to Luke and blowing out his candle.

All the kids picking out their cupcakes.

Luke enjoying his dino food on his dino plate.

Our food table.

The party favors we passed out with playdough and a dinosaur inside.

We had dino claws (bugles), dino bones (yogurt covered pretzels), dino spikes (watermelon slices) and dino bites (dinosaur  nuggets)...

And, dino eggs (grapes) and finally, dino pellets (donut holes). So fun!

My absolute favorite part was the party hats on the dinosaurs!!

And the chocolate cupcakes with dinosaurs on top!

I have such a fun time planning our boys' birthday parties. I love the details and I love to see it all come together. Everyone had such a fun time! We are so very blessed by our sweet friends who came to celebrate our boys with us!

Our Lemonade Stand

This weekend was a first for us... we had our first lemonade stand.  It was our neighbor's idea. His house was being featured on the parade of homes tour and he thought it would be great to provide everyone with drinks. So we did it!  We had a blast.  The people were so kind and our kids learned a lot (so did we)!

Here's a few pictures from our day...

Who could say no to these cuties??

Jack could not wait to have some lemonade!

Abram thought a his spider man costume would draw a crowd... and it did!!

Luke was our seller... He stayed out there all day. He walked with the sign, asked people what kind they wanted, took their money, gave them a straw, and gave them their cookie. He was great!! He kept saying, "this is the best weekend ever!"

Our family picture. We had such a fun day!

We don't know if we will do another stand anytime soon, it was exhausting, but it sure was fun!!

Celebrating Our Savior's Resurrection

We had such a wonderful Easter season! The holidays are getting so fun since all three boys are old enough to understand and appreciate the season. We did egg hunts (inside and out), crafts, resurrection rolls and eggs, dyed eggs and started a new yummy tradition...

The first egg hunt was on a Sunday afternoon at Jack and Luke's preschool.  They were hesitant at first, but after a few seconds of watching Abram have so much fun, they jumped right in!! They loved going through their eggs when we got home.

Their Loot!

Our favorite activity by far this year was a glow in the dark egg hunt. It was at a local church and inside their auditorium. It was amazing to see and so well organized, we can't wait to go back next year!

Inside the glow in the dark hunt!

This year all three boys were off for Good Friday and it was storming outside, so we spent the day decorating eggs. We used chalk, balloons, and corks.  I think they turned out great and the boys had a fun time!

Jack's cork design.

Of course, our favorite activity of the season is dying eggs.  We did the traditional die, new color snaps and we also used shaving cream mixed with food dye. So fun and so extremely messy!

So beautiful and creative!

Here's my favorite pictures of the boys from Easter morning at our church. I can't believe how grown up they look and so handsome in their button down shirts!

My sweet boys!

Our new tradition that we tried this year was making and eating smores peeps! We put a layer of chocolate chips down, put peeps on top and baked for a few minutes. After they cooled off, we devoured them with graham crackers. So yummy!

Before we dove in...

Getting ready...

So good!!

It was such a wonderful season celebrating our Savior and His immense love for us. Now we are looking forward to the twins' birthday party, our first lemonade stand and of course... summer!!
